E911 UPDATES 

 

Several important improvements have been made to the E911 system that resellers must keep in mind when setting up their customer accounts. V42 has addressed the glaring E911 issue that was exposed with the work from home explosion, how do we assign multiple addresses to a single number? Each user can now enter their own address that will be sent out when they call 911. These emergency addresses can be set up under a user's profile or in the inventory tab of the portal. 

An additional layer of detail has been added to the E911 system with the introduction of location descriptions. While the caller address can be correct, what if they are calling from a large building or a hotel with 100's of rooms? Location descriptions will allow first responders to have a better idea of where to go in an emergency. The location description can be updated under the users profile.
