911 ENDPOINTS
Add an Endpoint
New endpoints are added to the portal through the Emergency Endpoint section in Inventory. The billing address will be verified and both the endpoint ID and the billing address will be sent to the configured 3rd party carrier.
Open the Portal
Navigate to Inventory Emergency Endpoints
Click the Add Endpoint button. This will bring up the Add endpoint
Add the Call Back Number, this will act as the Endpoint ID and will need to be the emergency caller-ID for the users/devices that are to use this >endpoint.
Enter a new address meant for billing purposes, or select an existing address.
If entering a new address, click the Validate button. The address must be validated before saving.
911 FINES
It is extremely important that you create a 911 address and assign it to EVERY applicable user. If a user does not have their e911 address correctly provisioned and they make a 911 phone call, the call is then dispatched to the national 911 system for routing. The national 911 center then fines our carrier $150 per call made, a fine that is passed through to you as the partner.
As long as your 911 address is properly configured, you should never incur this fee.
