DOMAIN CREATION AND SETTING DOMAIN LIMITS
To create a new domain navigate to the domains icon from the Reseller Home Screen
Next click the "Add Domain" Button
Under the add a domain tab, be sure to click next and fill out all of the fields. The email sender should be your brand as that is the email that will send notifications to the customer account.
Domain naming notes:
The domain name must be one string.
No special Characters other than the underscore. for example
"Domain_Name"
All domain names must be unique. For example
"Allstate_Tampa_1"
"Allstate_Tampa_2"
Under the defaults tab - you will set the default settings for new users under the account. See the below example settings for this domain. Dial Permissions for example is important to set as US & Canada unless otherwise specified by the client to avoid unwarranted international usage.
Be sure to set the domain limitations. It is best practice to never leave any of these fields as unlimited. Be especially sure to set the active call limits for fraud prevention. Active calls are considered the amount of simultaneous calls internal + external. For example a ring group might ring 7 agents using 7 active call sessions, but the external usage for that same call is only 1.
Set the call recording limitations. If your client does not want call recording leave this box unchecked. With our basic recording package, you can set the max retention length to up to 30 days with our standard recording service. With our AWS integration option, you can up this to up to 365 days. (contact your account rep if you do not have this on your account and are interested.)
Then click "Add" - that's it! You've successfully created a domain.
When adding a domain, the last tab will be the Emergency tab. This is where you will input the 911 Caller ID number and tie an address to that number.
Once you have filled in all the required fields, click validate at the bottom. If the address has been validated you will be able to click the add button and finish creating the domain. If the address does not validate open up a ticket with support.
